Notes

The peculiar spectrum of this target was initially noted by Bidelman & Stephenson (1956). In Wackerling (1970), the star was added to the list of symbiotic stars. Subsequently, Sanduleak & Stephenson (1973) classified the target as M4ep+OB? with suspected Fe II emission, likely leading to its consideration as a suspected symbiotic star by Vaidis (1988). It was listed as a confirmed symbiotic star in SIMBAD (Wenger et al., 2000) and GCVS. However, it seems that it is a triple VV Cep system, as indicated by Pigulski & Michalska (2007). The absolute infrared magnitude confirmed the presence of an Iab class star (Munari et al., 2021). It is also important to highlight that some authors, such as Hric et al. (1991), incorrectly identified FR Sct with AS 296 (FG Ser).
